Born in Lethbridge and raised in Calgary, Locklyn has a special affinity to Southern Alberta. As lead counsel, Locklyn represents owners, general contractors, subcontractors, developers, corporations, and individuals in disputes related to large-scale construction and engineering projects, including those relating to infrastructure projects; surety bond claims; condominium projects; custom-home construction; shareholder, breach of contract, and defamation claims; director/personal liability and oppression disputes; insolvency matters; employment disputes; and has significant trial, arbitration, and mediation experience.
Locklyn brings global perspectives along with his deep regional expertise. From his time at the faculty of Law at Hong Kong University, to a circumnavigation of the world in 2019, Locklyn has developed a significant depth of knowledge, wisdom, and insight from his many adventures and travels.
When he is not at the office, you can find him at home with his wife and four young children or out in the mountains summitting one of the Bugaboo spires, riding the trails at Moose Mountain, or kiteboarding/wing foiling at Dalemead Lake. While Locklyn’s proclivity for extreme sports started in Wakeboarding, where he won many accolades (including placing 4th at the IWSF Worlds in Seville Spain), his passions in sport have become as diverse as his practice of law.
